Welcome to Battenkill Meadows Charolais Farm.  Battenkill Meadows was established in 2002 as a Registered Charolais breeding farm.

We are located in Shushan, NY, right on the Battenkill River, with peaceful River Meadows and 
Rolling Hills that are organically maintained.  Shushan is a quiet little town that borders the Green Mountains of Vermont, in upstate New York.

Our Mission

At Battenkill Meadows it is our goal to breed and raise Registered, Top Quality Charolais Beef Cattle.  
Our cattle are used for only breeding the BEST of the breed.  Selling our bulls to continue the top quality line of the Charolais breed.  These quality bulls will be sold for breeding.

Company Profile

We are a family owned business with daily hands-on activities and duties on our farm.  Our cattle 
are handled and worked with daily, creating a tamer, more enjoyable animal to raise and breed.

Our founder, Rick MacGregor, spent every summer here at our 160 acre farm, which was then owned 
by his Grandparents. His life long dream was to one day own the 160 year old home and special piece 
of property that borders the Battenkill River.  When he was able to realize that dream, the next step 
was to have a working farm of his own. 

We are members of the American Charolais Association.
